About Us

We find it really annoying that female clothing doesn’t have pockets. Our team believes that women’s clothing hasn’t progressed in the same way women have and that because of this women are often forced to choose between fashion and functionality. We conducted a survey of over 400 women and 75% of them wanted more pockets in their clothing.

Pocket Change will host a pop up stall only selling pocketed clothes. We will be working with Melbourne-based and Australian designers and brands to develop a social movement around pockets. We will be all over Melbourne looking for some cool pocketed individuals and posting them on social media to raise awareness for our cause and pop up. We believe pockets are a symbol for female empowerment and are using them as a fun way to raise awareness of gender equality. All the proceeds from the shop will be going toward a scholarship for female entrepreneurs to study at The University of Melbourne.

Meet the Team

We believe that teamwork is absolutely fundamental for teams to work effectively. Only when the skills and strengths of individual team members are joined with shared goals, and a focus on collective performance, will you start to see the benefits of a team at work.
